Brilliant Books and Pancakes!

On Tuesday we found out about Shrove Tuesday/Pancake day and then had a go at frying and flipping our own (pretend) pancakes!

We love sharing and exploring books in Reception so we were very excited about our school book week.

To start the day we shared books together – here we are.

Our classroom provision included book making, cosy book nooks and numbers in books.

Here we are enjoying exploring the provision: authors, illustrators, storytelling and book puzzles.

We love snuggling up with our favourite books – look how cosy we are on these beanbags. We also have a bird watching book nook where you can read a book or watch the birds outside.

So much excitement, plus more fun with a virtual visit from the author, Eileen Browne and a visit with Simon Philip. If that wasn’t enough, we were lucky enough to take home a new book and a cookie ready for our bedtime story.

Books are brilliant!
