Day One at St Ives

Day One at St Ives

Year 6 came to school this morning buzzing with excitement as they embarked on an adventure of a lifetime with their friends to St Ives, Cornwall. On the way to our destination, we first made a pit-stop at ‘The Eden Project’ and it did not disappoint…

We began with E-den building where children had to work together in order to make a den which required patience, resilience and, of course, teamwork. We then had the chance to explore the tropical plants in the biomes and the children loved seeing the wonders of nature and sculpture during our leisurely stroll.

After that, we then headed back to the coach where we then made our way to our hostel. The children got acquainted with their rooms before feasting on a delicious meal of ‘bangers and mash’ and a rocky road tray bake. This evening, we had a lovely stroll down to the harbour in order to soak up the Cornish atmosphere.

All the children are really happy and have settled quickly into their new surroundings.

Stay tuned tomorrow for more pictures and updates.
