Wow Netball Club! What a year! I am so impressed and beyond proud of the huge progress each and every one of you has made. It has been a delight to see you all shine in the game and thoroughly enjoy yourselves as well.

Yesterday we finished the club for the year with a little tournament between Red, Blue and Black teams. The first match saw the Reds win with a goal from Lillie. The second match saw Blacks win with a goal from Jess. The final heat match was a win for the Blacks with 2 goals from Oliver and one for the Blues from Florence. A semi-final match between Blues and Reds saw Blues going through to the final against Blacks. Our overall tournament winners were the Black team with Sienna scoring the winning goal.

The clear favourite games of the afternoon however were the matches between children and parents! Well done and thank you to all adults who took part, we loved it. Not that we were competing but…  Team Parents won 2-0 on Court A and it was a draw with a 2-2 score on Court B, well done everyone!

Thank you to Mrs Matthews for capturing the amazing actions shots and Mrs Wilson for the delicious ice pops to cool us down after. Some squash and biscuits finished the afternoon in the hot sun.

My thanks also to Mr Frampton for photographing our matches throughout the year and to Miss England for coaching us throughout the year as well, your experience and knowledge is invaluable!

I would like to wish our Year 6 players all the best for Secondary School and I hope to hear news of your continued success on your new Netball Teams. Year 5 players, I’ll see you again next year!
