We released the butterflies! Over the past week, we’ve been so excited to have four out of the five butterflies hatch out of their chrysalises. We’ve been feeding them fruit and sugar water while they have been stretching their wings and learning to fly.

This afternoon we headed up into the school garden where one of the children had remembered we have a couple of buddleia growing. We knew that the butterflies love them, so decided this would be a good spot. It was amazing to see them all flutter off into the wild!

At playtime this afternoon a couple of the children spotted a butterfly the same as ours (Painted Lady), so we assumed one had come back to say hello!
