Forest School week 12. That’s a wrap!

Today was our final Forest School session outside in the beautiful school grounds.  The 12 weeks have passed so quickly and we couldn’t quite believe this was it!  We decided to do some of our favourite activities for our last session.  Stealth started us off and then we went into free choice as we ha a fire to get started ready to cook on.  Luckily, we hadn’t forgotten our fire lighting skills and had a furnace going in no time!

With it being the end of term and some of us being tired, chilling in the hammock was a perfect way to relax.  Others preferred to try out their balancing skills on the strap line.

Whilst others found some pond life.  When the fire died down and the ashes turned white, we were ready to dip apples into sugar and cinnamon to cook on the fire and toast some crumpets.

Finally, we took our Forest School group photo – each child will each receive their own copy and one will go up on the Forest School shed.  What an amazing bunch of young people – you have all embraced Forest School and been a delight to have outside every Wednesday afternoon.  Thank you.  I really hope you go and apply all your skills learnt over the summer holidays and into the next term.
