Grab Your Palette and PAINT!
Mrs. Aitken informs me that she had an awesome afternoon filled with art in Year 4 today as they began to explore the different colours on the colour wheel. The children looked at warm, cool, analogous, tertiary and complementary colour families. They then had the afternoon to freely explore the colours and mix them in order to successfully match each segment of the colour wheel.
Mrs Aitken went on to say, and I quote, ‘It was great seeing the children using their knowledge of the primary colours in order to create new shades.’
Next week, the children will aim to identify how colour has been used in various pieces of art and uncover any similarities and differences they see.

I really enjoyed doing the painting with Mrs Aitken. It was so much fun and I can’t wait to do some more.
