Leeson House – Day 2

This morning the children were up bright and early – a little too early! However they managed to stay in bed for a little while longer before getting up, dressed and ready for the day. After a delicious breakfast we headed off outside for some team games and activities. The rain started to come down very hard so half of us went under the parachute for bushcraft and firelighting while the other half went back inside for some more team games. We swapped over halfway through the morning so everyone got a turn at everything without getting too wet.

After lunch it was absolutely tipping it down so we went up to the outdoor classrooms for pond dipping and animal trackers. We nipped out to dip in the pond and then brought everything back to the warm classrooms.  We found some amazing things and the children were experts at identifying and classifying their finds.

It was dark by the time we came back to the house and everyone had a bit of chill time before donning their festive gear for our Leeson House Christmas Dinner which was delicious as always!

After dinner there was time for Miss Hutton’s award ceremony and then showers and some calming doodly December.

Children are tired after their early start and busy day so everyone will be off to bed soon. Hope you enjoy looking at our photos from today. It’s been brilliant!
