Marvellous Map Readers

Last week, Year 4 began to brush up on their map reading skills as they used atlases in order to locate some of the world’s most well-known rivers. From the Amazon to the Ganges, Mississippi to the Nile, the children had to use their knowledge of the seven continents in order to locate, name and label them on a world map.

The children then used online sources to identify what countries (or states) these rivers flowed through. It was fascinating finding out about where these rivers were and how people have used and still use rivers to help them survive and prosper.

Well done, Year 4. Next up…MOUNTAINS!
