Marvellous Maths

To celebrate our maths week we have had great fun exploring with the Numberblocks 1, 2 and 3. Here they are.

We enjoyed matching different objects to 1, 2 and 3. Here are our beautiful bees.

We worked hard to create pictures of the Numberblocks 1, 2 and 3. Here we are sticking coloured squares to represent the blocks. We talked about how we know they are 1, 2 or 3.

“It is 3 because it has 3 blocks”               “It is 1 because it only has 1 block”

We enjoyed listening to some stories about maths too – here we are enjoying a book about looking after our world.

When we went outside we looked for leaves of different sizes. How would you describe these?

On Remembrance day we found out about why we wear poppies through watching and talking about ‘My First Festivals’ on CBeebies. One of us made one of the war planes we saw and we all created poppy pictures by tearing paper.
