We had an exciting day today with lots of number challenges.

We met Numberblock ten – 10 ones but also 1 block of 10.

We filled in missing numbers for one of our challenges and described where the missing numbers should go. We used ten-frames to count out different amounts and then talk about how many more we needed to make 10. We re-visited our 5-frame game too.

In addition to this we have enjoyed our Julia Donaldson story – using the words squash and squeeze in our play.

Our birdwatching has developed and we now have a dedicated bird-watching area in out classroom!
