Southill vs Chickerell

Southill vs Chickerell

Unfortunately, we didn’t win. Fortunately, we don’t have to wait long until our next match!

The children braved the rain and the conditions in order to represent Southill after school. At half time, the score was 3-0 to Chickerell as the opposing team hit Southill on the counter attack. After a team-talk at half time, the team battled hard in the second half and had several chances in the first 15 minutes, keeping possession confidently and playing some decent two-touch football. If only scoring a goal was as easy in a match as it is in training! We just couldn’t put the ball in the net. A mistake then lead to a fourth goal – the final score 0-4.

As soon as we start converting our chances, keep our heads up if we go a goal behind and begin to work reciprocally for the entire 40 minutes, I’m sure team Southill can start putting a few decent results together. Hard work, training and teamwork will pay off in the end – I’m sure of it.

Heads up, boys. Our next match will be next Tuesday against St George’s!
