Stone Age & Poetry Thursday

Well done Year 3. You definitely are getting back into the swing of being and learning together.

We are having great fun learning about the Stone Age. About the tools, beliefs, monuments, settlements and way of life. It’s a great opportunity for for us to put our computing skills to use in researching and presenting the information we find.

We are also enjoying listening to our class novel every day – The Wild Way Home by Sophie Kirtley. It’s about a boy from the present day (Charlie Merriam) who somehow finds himself and the forest that he lives next to, transported back into the Stone Age. The story has certainly got us all hooked, sitting at the edge of our seats. It’s brilliant.

And of course we had our first real life Poetry Thursday for ages. Thank you to the 3 children who performed Michael Rosen’s –‘Bedtime’.      More superstars 🙂  🙂  🙂
