The Gruffalo and friends

What an exciting week of learning! I have been bowled over by the range of fantastic learning being shared with me so a huge congratulations to all of you for making me smile every day.

I would like to include all of the wonderful photos and videos I have received but there have been so many that it would take over the whole website! Here is a selection, making sure that everyone has something on here to share.

Here is a selection from children who have been in school this week – look out for phonics, maths, art and lots of story telling.

We have been exploring the story of The Gruffalo through many different activities. We thought about the Gruffalo character and also the setting of the story. Here are some home learning pictures of the Gruffalo and many different ways of creating the setting. I have been impressed with your ideas and creations.

We have had lots of other fun challenges this week and here is a selection for you to look at. Watch out for maths, outdoor learning, rhymes, craft, den making and physical fun.

Our rhyme of the week was Hickory Dickory Dock. We performed, made props and then had a go at changing the mouse character to a different one from the Gruffalo story. I am enjoying looking at all of your photos and watching the videos.

Many thanks for such a great week – can’t wait to explore and learn together next week.
