Year 6 visitors, outdoor play and number fun.

Here is a varied selection of learning from this week. We hope you enjoy looking at our photos.

We have been very lucky to have 6 children from Year 6 visiting us each afternoon this week. They have been a great help to us and we have enjoyed learning with them. Thanks very much.

Here they are making jigsaw puzzles, joining in with craft projects, building and even washing up.

We watched the Numberblocks episode Odds and Evens and we found out about spotting odd and even number shapes. Here we are investigating using Numicon.

We also created ‘odd’ friends – look carefully for odd amounts such as eyes, spots, arms and decorations.

On Wednesday morning we enjoyed the sunny weather outside. The children decided to set up a McDonalds drive through for the bikes and scooters! Here we are enjoying our takeaway food! There was a very long queue but the food and customer service were great.

I really love seeing these posts . Ostin loves seeing the year 6 children. So pleased that our reception children got to see their buddies. I remember being a buddy all those years ago when I was in year 6, so it makes me so happy after all this time the tradition has remained but even more so after this funny old year, thank you year 6s you really make the reception children’s day when they’ve seen you guys .

  2. Looks like a great week and Wills has come back excited after every day 🙂
