Year 6 Leavers Assembly

The Year 6 class presented their final assembly to their parents and to the rest of the school on Thursday. It was a celebration filled with funny stories and memories, a few tears and lots of laughs.  Coincidentally, as we commemorate 50 years since Neil Armstrong first stepped on the moon, we saw some old film footage of when this class were in Year 2 and they flew to the moon!! We also heard from two rockin’ DJs as they counted down the top 10 highlights from their time at Southill. In no particular order … Bude in Y6, New Barn Field Centre in Y5, Leeson House in Y4, Carey Camp in Y3, Reception Class, non-school uniform days, lunchtime, hometime, Science Museum in Y5 and the school fayres! It’s always sad to say ‘Goodbye’ but we wish all our Year 6 pupils well as they move on to their new schools.
