Angle, Turns, Directions

We have been learning about angles and turnsĀ  this week in our maths lessons. An angle is the measure of the amount of turn between 2 straight lines. Turns can be described as clockwise or anti clockwise.

Right angles are a quarter of a whole turn.

Acute angles are less than a right angle.

Obtuse angles are more than a right angle but less than a straight line (180 degrees).

A whole turn is 360 degrees.

We took this learning outside with us to help us learn by giving directions to each other.
