Arts Week

An enormous well done to everybody this week for their fantastic efforts during Arts Week!

I have been so impressed by the amazing art work that has been produced across the week from children all across our school. We have seen pastel portraits in the style of Picasso, ‘Starry Night’ canvases in the style of Vincent van Gogh, soap sculptures inspired by Barbara Hepworth and last, but by no means least, dot pictures inspired by the Polka Dot crazy Yayoi Kusama.

It has been amazing to see children all the way from Reception to Year 6 getting inspired and trying out lots of new and exciting art techniques.

Finally, a huge thank you to all of the friends and families who came to our Art Exhibition this afternoon. It was brilliant to see such a huge turnout and we are really looking forward to putting all of the money donated towards our next big project here at Southill.
