Summer Fayre

The shone shone all day and there was a lovely breeze up on the field – perfect weather conditions for a super summer fayre. FOSS volunteers worked so hard on the organisation and it all paid off because it was brilliant! There was yummy food and drinks including a barbecue, cream teas and cakes, a Pimms tent and an ice cream van. We were entertained by Wessex Karate Academy, Evolution Dance and Performing Arts School and our very own Rock Band performed. Well done everyone! It was also fantastic to have Harrison Bruton from Weymouth FC saving goals all afternoon on Beat the Goalie.

Mr Mason and I would like to say a huge thank you to FOSS for all their hard work in organising such a brilliant event for our school. Thanks to all the staff and volunteers who set up, manned stalls and helped clear away at the end and of course a gigantic thank you  to everyone who came along and bought things, ate things, drank things, watched things, had a go at things and generally had a great time! It was great to see so many families and also ex-pupils. Southill really has a very special community. I feel privileged to be a part of it.

Well done everyone and thank you again. We’ll let you know how much we raised and what we’ll be spending it on very soon.

Mrs Wood
