Friday Celebration Assembly

It’s back! It’s wonderful to be able to gather together again to celebrate all our amazing achievements in and out of school. This week we heard from children who have been doing well in swimming and football.

Our Wellbeing Weekly Reporters from Year 4 told us all about Stormbreak in their class this week and children from each class were presented with an award for showing great empathy in our work on Relationships.

We were really proud to award certificates to four children from Year 6 who took part in the National Literacy Trust’s Reading Champions Competition this week. They represented Southill really well and did fantastically in a competition against pupils in Year 6, 7 , 8 and 9 from other schools.

Of course the main feature of our celebration assembly is the Star Learners themselves. Well done for impressing your teachers with your fantastic learning powers this week.

Finally, Mr Mason shared the news that we raised £471 for children in Ukraine with our ribbon appeal. That’s brilliant! Thank you for your generosity. Some children asked if they culd bring in money next week – of course that’s fine. Don’t forget about our collection of items on Thursday morning.

Have a super weekend.
