✨ Southill Primary's Magical Week! ✨

Hello, wonderful Southill families!

What an absolutely brilliant week we've had! It's so lovely to be back and feeling much better – thank you all so much for your kind messages and for checking in. Your support means the world to me.

🌟 This Week's Amazing Moments

We've packed so much fun and learning into just a few days!

Monday brought us space and sparks! Years 5 and 6 had an absolutely fantastic time with Professor Lee, exploring the wonders of space and electricity. A huge thank you to our brilliant FOSS PTA for funding these incredible workshops – the children have been buzzing with excitement telling me all about what they learned!

Tuesday was a treat for everyone! Our wonderful Year 2 children dodged the rain and walked up to the church coffee morning, where they performed songs from their nativity show. They were absolutely superb, and I felt so incredibly proud watching them share their talents with our community. I know they brought joy to everyone there.

Wednesday was all about teamwork! We headed to Atlantic Academy on Portland for a basketball workshop. At Southill Primary, we're passionate about giving every child the chance to try new sports and develop their skills – that's exactly why we've earned our School Games Gold Mark! We believe that being active, learning teamwork and discovering new talents are such important parts of growing up.

Fitness Thursday turned into a winter wonderland! Our playground was magically transformed with snow for the disco – thank you, Matt, for making it happen! The children had an absolute blast.

Thursday night was simply spectacular! The hall was packed with proud families watching Southill's Got Talent, and wow – what a show! Every single child who performed was incredible, showing such courage and talent. We raised an amazing £400 too!

At Southill Primary, we believe in nurturing every child's unique gifts and giving them opportunities to shine. Whether it's music, dance, comedy, or something completely different, we want every child to discover what makes them special. A massive thank you to Dan, who not only organised the entire show single-handedly but works tirelessly throughout the year to create wonderful opportunities for our children to explore music and develop their talents in so many ways.

Friday morning was extra special! The whole school came together to watch the dress rehearsal of our Reception and KS1 nativity. What a joy it was to see our youngest children shine, and for the whole school to share in the festive spirit together!

💫 Creating Magical Memories

Primary school is such a precious time, and these festive celebrations are all about creating those special memories that children carry with them forever. Whether it's performing in a nativity, lighting a Christingle candle, singing with friends, or simply wearing a silly Christmas jumper, these moments matter. They help children feel part of something bigger, build their confidence, and fill their hearts with joy and belonging.

We can't wait to celebrate with you all next week!

Have a wonderful weekend, and we'll see you bright and early on Monday for our festive finale! 🎄✨

Warmest wishes,

Caroline
