Neil the Time Traveller

Year 3 started off Spring 2 term with an immersive day with Neil the Time Traveller.  The children were transported back to ancient Egypt where they discovered how the ancient Egyptians lived and the roles they had in society.  The children looked at artefacts, asked fascinating questions and sketched a mask that would have been painted and put over someone's face.

At the end of the day the parents were invited in to a short reenactment of how a body would have been preserved and mummified.  One of our pupils was super brave and took on the role of being 'washed', 'rubbed with oil' and 'bandaged up' and as it was ancient Egypt, even had all her organs removed and stored in canopic jars! 

The children had a very educational, interactive and fun day!
