Yr3 Science Jumpers!
Science Jumpers!
This week Year 3 started the science topic - Animals including humans. The children have looked at the different bones inside a body, watched a video about why babies have more bones than adults and conducted an investigation into bones. The children were investigating the question - Do people with longer legs jump further than people with shorter legs? The children then worked in pairs to measure the leg length of each other. Next we all went outside and took the biggest jump we could and measured how far each child travelled. Once back in class we looked at the results and concluded that you do not need longer legs to jump the furthest.
