Wacky Weather - Science workshop!

Wacky Weather Science Workshop for Reception 🌬️☁️
We were super lucky this week to be visited by Lee from Mini Professors, who delivered a fantastic Wacky Weather science workshop for our Reception children!
The session began with an exciting investigation all about wind. The children made predictions about which items and objects would blow away and which would stay put. This linked perfectly with our current Maths topic on comparing mass, as the children discussed whether lighter or heavier objects would move more easily. It was wonderful to hear their ideas and see them thinking like real scientists.
Next, the children worked in small groups to create their very own cloud. The level of focus and concentration was epic! Everyone followed instructions carefully, collaborated brilliantly, and stayed completely engaged throughout the activity.
Most importantly, the children had lots of fun while learning. It was a hands-on, memorable experience that sparked curiosity, encouraged teamwork, and brought science to life in an exciting way.
A huge thank you to Lee from Mini Professors for such an inspiring workshop – we can’t wait for our next science adventure! 😊
