Year 6/7 Hockey Festival
This afternoon it was Year 6’s turn to take to the Redland's hockey pitch as they attended a Year 6/7 festival jam-packed with activities. The afternoon was designed to help them develop their skills and confidence in this very physically demanding sport.
We began with a few warm-up games before the children moved around several skill stations. From goalkeeping drills to dribbling around obstacles, sharp shooting to battling for possession, the children were certainly put through their paces!
One of the activities was a hockey match and I was so impressed with the children’s attitude, effort and ability to apply what they had learned in a game situation.
A huge thank you to Mr. Frampton, our super school photographer, who came along to capture the action on camera. I would also like to thank Kate, Lee and Amy, who very kindly helped transport the children to Redlands. We really appreciate your help and support.
