Art in Year 4!

In our recent Art Chromatic session, the children confidently explored freehand architectural drawing, demonstrating strong observational skills and a growing understanding of proportion, perspective, and line quality. It was wonderful to see them trust their instincts and take creative risks.

Using watercolour, they experimented with the value of colour, diluting pigments to create a range of tones and layering washes to suggest depth and light. They also explored techniques such as wet-on-wet and controlled brushwork.

Most importantly, we had great fun experimenting and discovering together, an engaging and rewarding session for all.
