Clay castles
This week saw the start of a new art unit based around castles. The children spent Monday afternoon exploring the basic 3D shapes many castles are made up of and then representing these in 2D in their sketchbooks.
On Wednesday afternoon, we all made a relief clay tile of a castle. The children followed careful instructions and all used a variety of tools. The results were brilliant! The children all successfully created their tiles and were so proud of their efforts!
Next week, we will endeavour to paint them so that they look even more amazing!
