Cloud Tea Monkeys!

This week the children were introduced to a new book called Cloud Tea Monkey by Mal Peet & Elspeth Graham with beautiful illustrations by Juan Wijngaard. Our first lesson on Monday was to give each pair of children 5 tea bags to sniff! They had to write down words to describe each tea bag i.e. spicy, fresh, like strawberries etc.

The children had a great time, although I think some of the spicy ones tickled their nostrils as there was a bit of sneezing during the lesson!

It has really caught their attention and engaging with the text.
