Forest School Week 5

This week at Forest School, we missed our Year 4 friends who were out on their school trip. The Year 3's made the most of having the site to themselves and all agreed that they wanted to use the saws again. So, we set about finding some appropriate branches for the children to saw. After a quick 'Tool Talk' recap about how to safely use the tools, they paired up and were all successful in their missions to saw right through the branches. Brilliant teamwork and lots of encouragement from friends was witnessed! We also used the fire to make some popcorn (we will do it again next week - weather permitting) which caused great excitement when it started overflowing the pot! Another super, sunny session - Well done Year 3!
