Mathematicians flexibly partitioning
This week the children took on the challenge of flexibly partitioning numbers up to 1,000. This can be tricky to understand when children are used to partitioning in hundreds, tens and ones. They were told that each part could have a mixture of hundreds, tens and ones and that the number would still be the same! They had a great time drawing on the tables and working with their partner!
