Portraits Inspired by Sarah Biffin
This week, we have been learning about the remarkable artist Sarah Biffin and exploring her beautiful portrait work.
Sarah Biffin was born without arms and with very small legs, yet she became a highly accomplished artist, painting detailed portraits and miniatures. Her story inspired us to think about determination, creativity and the many different ways people can achieve amazing things.
After looking closely at some of Biffin’s portraits, we became artists ourselves! We carefully studied facial features, shapes, colours and expressions before creating our own portraits inspired by her work.
We took our time to add fine details and thought carefully about how a portrait can show a person’s character and personality. We are very proud of our finished artwork and loved learning about such an inspiring artist.
Well done to all our talented artists! 🎨🖌️
