Science: Longer nights and shorter days!

We have just started our science topic about the seasons. Today, the children made paper chains to represent how the nights get longer in the winter and shorter in the summer. The yellow paper was sunlight hours and the black paper was the night time. We will be watching the trees outside our classroom carefully as autumn takes hold. We've already noticed the chilly mornings!
