Well, what a year! I cannot tell you how quickly this year has flown by. Your children are an absolute dream and it has been such a fun and rewarding year.

Parents, thank you for your help, support and patience throughout the year. From last-minute messages and preparing PE kits every day to reading endless blog posts and attending parents' evenings, you have been amazing.

From Mrs Walkinshaw, Mrs Murray and me, we cannot express how grateful we are for the gifts, heartfelt messages and cards. They are never expected, but they mean the world to us.

As a small end-of-year gift, your child has received a copy of a poem I wrote especially for them, along with a pair of sunglasses for shining so brightly throughout the year. I hope they enjoy both and that they serve as a little reminder of what a fantastic year we have shared.

Have the best summer. I hope your child enjoys a stress-free break, knowing that a friendly face will be there to greet them when they return for what promises to be, I hope, the best last year of primary school ever!
