Veggie feast!

Our writing unit has been based on a book called Luna Loves Gardening. In the book, the main character, Luna, grows lots of wonderful vegetables. We got hold of a few of the vegetables mentioned in the book and the children were all able to produce some fabulous writing, based on their appearance. Mrs Kench then took them home and cooked them up for us so that we could all have a try. Some of the children discovered a new love for calabash and callaloo and a number of the children demolished the roasted beetroot! It definitely bought the story to life.
