Year 6 is loading... 50% complete

Wow! How can it be half way through the year already?

This incredible, clever, kind and funny class have shown so much growth so far, not just in their learning but in their maturity, empathy and responsibility too.  They truly are showing that they are Ready, Respectful and Safe, which in turn is leading to them being Happy, Confident and Prepared. 

This half term has been amazing, from completing in-depth writing pieces on 'Resist' by Tom Palmer (an excellent book about Audrey Hepburn's early life as a rebel in WW2) to amping up their arithmetic skills with the new Y6 'Nando's Menus' (how spicy?), they have made heaps of progress. As SATs gets nearer, they have been completing regular practice papers and are getting brilliant results; they are always always improving. 

Talk about working hard! Today they started their Electrified Gothic Castles for DT. Having far exceeded their Dojo target, they had a fun afternoon of free time. Some of them did a cosplay competition! Great fun all round. 

Well done year 6, thanks for a great year so far and I'm already looking forward to getting back to it after the break.
